First Day At Uni

Today was no where near as bad as my thoughts had said it was (i knew it wouldn't be). It was all so much better when i found out what was happening! i even made friends with some people and one of them said that she felt exactly the same way!!! i wasn't alone! Up top is my goodies pack that we got - diary, student id, name tag. -hard to get a good photo cause of all the shinny glare of everything!!!!!

Face Lift

Here are some photos from the face lift of my strat. I'm sure no one else has this combination!!! I think it looks great!

"My problem is spilling!!! I can't spill to save my loaf!! I have to reply on the Spill chock on my compluter!!"

I would like to appologise to those who have realised that my spelling requires some imagination. And my punctuation on post slips like running at the local swimming pool. Sorry, i can't help it, one day i'll do something about it, maybe! The title is taken from the UK "Sketch Show" TV show- no longer on but it was great!!

Its not that bad!!!

i can spell mostly!!!!

get used to it!!!

its cool!!!!!!!!!!

Spell checkers are hear too stay!!!!!!

New Music To The Ears

The feeling comes and goes, but i am really likeing my new songs. new ones include........

c 2007.

"Simple Girl"
-about not being sure about love. strong, to the point lyrics, i like that.

"Outside looking in"
-about seeing everyone falling in love and feeling left out. except, most times i play it i feel like i don't actually want it, its just the idea. i like this one cause it cuts down on words with a powerfull effect.

"untitled as of yet"
-one for my gran

"Lost Contact"
-a bit older. about feeling disconected from others at times.

"Change"
-about......well guess!!!

Older (c 2006/2005)
"That Girl", "23", "So Blown Away by You", "Next To You", "Family" (Christian Family), "The Other Side", "Understand"

To add to this, the yesterday i ordered a blue moto pick guard for my white mex fender strat. Exciting!!!!! Thats the other thing, some of these songs sound better acoustic and some electric. this is what i was hopeing while they where all turning electric, i wanted some acoustic, warm reverbed sounds, ooohhhhh yeh.......

God Be Praised!

In answer to a previous post when i was talking about how worried i was about everything with uni starting. I prayed heaps, read Phillipians 4:6-7 and prayed heaps. Well, after that, i felt God working in my life....

I think it was the day after that i recieved a letter from the hotel school saying the date for the 'orientation' day', what to bring and what to wear. a letter detailing everything really (and saying which hours need to be left avaliable when the timetables will be given out). enclosed with this letter was a newsletter from the school detailing news and stuff like that. i thouroughly enjoyed reading it!!!! it provided the pieces to this puzzle that i couldn't see so that the picture became a little more clearer.

The other night i was thinking negatively of the coming experience at uni. i stopped myself and said, "you are just being stupid, it is a fear of the unknown, let go of that fear and just wait to find out what to be affraid of not before."

And the fear escaped me!

God Be Praised!!!!!!!!!!!

Just Get On With It/ If You Can't Stand The Heat, Get Out Of The Kitchen.

I feel very relaxed tonight. i am sitting at my computer finishing up downloading all my music CDs onto my computer so i can put them away. i am sending emails. i am listening to newly downloaded songs from itunes music store - "Light Surrounding You" (Evermore) (Great Song), "How To Save A Life" (The Fray) (Pretty Good), "Chassing Cars" (Snow Patrol) (Really Good) and "Wonderfull World" (James Morrison) (Fantastic Song - such passionate singing and a great song!!!). i love listening to newly aquired songs!!! i am reading blogs and writing in mine. Multi-tasking at the right times is great!

I have been watching (been watching!! there have been two episodes so far since its release michael!!) Kitchen Confidential on the comedy channel. it shows a guy who used to be pretty reckless trying to clean up his act at a new restaurant. This has been reminding me of my stint in the Kitchens at the Sheraton on the Park for my year 10 work experience. Some days it was great when i was working with really nice people but others i had people who i didn't get on with and didn't really care who i was at all! So i come to this show with previous experience! (haha, just realised that i sent an email at 12:30 ish at night -that person is going to be wondering what i was doing up at that hour! - hahaha) Anyway! watching this show, i was thinking how the head chef (the main character) even though he was severly diminished with sleep, and everyone was doing things wrong, he was still just getting on with the job. With his tired eyes and everything going wrong he just got on with it. i have been thinking that as i move into the more adult world of working, having lectures, and probably not enough sleep, i (scaredly) accept the challenge. i want to be able to 'just get on with it'. of course i am scared that it will just turn into "Michael, this is really hard, i can't be bothered to get out of bed", "i don't want to go to work", "why did i go to bed so late", "but i have to work"...... well i think you get the point. i want to be able to stop complaining in my head and just push through.

Don't get it, but they are funny

They are funny when there's lots:...............

-Chuck Norris has the greatest Poker-Face of all time. He won the 1983 World Series of Poker, despite holding only a Joker, a Get out of Jail Free Monopoloy card, a 2 of clubs, 7 of spades and a green #4 card from the game UNO.
-When Chuck Norris falls in water, Chuck Norris doesn't get wet. Water gets Chuck Norris.
-Chuck Norris’ house has no doors, only walls that he walks through.
-Chuck Norris does not sleep. He waits.
-Chuck Norris doesn't go hunting.... CHUCK NORRIS GOES KILLING
-Chuck Norris doesn't read books. He stares them down until he gets the information he wants.
-Chuck Norris is currently suing NBC, claiming Law and Order are trademarked names for his left and right legs.
-Chuck Norris counted to infinity - twice.
-When Chuck Norris does a pushup, he isn’t lifting himself up, he’s pushing the Earth down.
-Chuck Norris can lead a horse to water AND make it drink
-Chuck Norris doesn’t wear a watch, HE decides what time it is.
-Chuck Norris can slam a revolving door.
-Do you know why Baskin Robbins only has 31 flavors? Because Chuck Norris doesn't like Fudge Ripple.
-Chuck Norris is the only person to ever win a staring contest against Ray Charles and Stevie Wonder at the same time.
-Chuck Norris is the reason why Waldo is hiding.

New Backdrop

Just wanted to show a cool wallpaper that i found. It now stares me in the face whenever i look at my computer!! Cool - i love it heaps!!!!!!!!

Skydiving

I feel as if i'm skydiving (as the picture above but not tandem!). i am currently walking up to the door of the aeroplane, many meters above the earth and about to plunge into something i have never done before. Time is the person pushing me toward the door, helping me jump out even though its a bit scary. i think this is a fear of the unknown of what is going to happen when i let go and just let myself fall into the unknown world outside.......

Extended metaphore aside, i am talking about going to uni this year. i start in a about week and i feel a bit worried. As above i think it is more a fear of the unknown. The first day is an orientation day and i have no idea what to expect. i am also trying to get this job at the same time (read previous posts) which i have handed my CV that i gave to the Hotel School to the Hotel after it sounds like my original has been misplaced! i handed it along with the letters saying i got into the hotel school and that i got a scholarship and some other certificates i think. It, like the last, is floating around the hotel again but i have more confidence in this bait cause i feel that i have put the right one in and (hopefully) there isn't too much chance it will get lost (fingers crossed!) So to add that uncertainty ( U ) and the uncertainty ( U ) of starting at the Hotel School and not sure what that will be like i get.... well

U + U = 2U - double uncertainty!!!!! --(-10/2/07-maths from school comes in handy!!!!!!!!)

With this on my mind and also having a goal to (as it says in Psalm 1) meditate on the law of the Lord day and night, my mind went to "what does the bible say about this" or "WWJD(what would Jesus do)/ say" (finding out when i herd it preched at church that he was the word made flesh but only then understood!! -properly) my mind wandered to Philipians - luckily this time i know the passage quite well so it was able to spring to mind (the great side of memorizing scripture) - specifically to phill - 4:6-7 saying " Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God...." after thinking over this passage i spent time praying for God's help and for a calmness of mind to approach the edge.....

So with about one week left i do feel a bit calmer about it all, there is still a bit of fear but after praying its not as bad. i am looking forward to it all but its just not knowing what to expect!

One week left..............!

Joke Time

Just a quick joke:

I speak Spanish like a native - A native Hungarian!

The Crowd Factor

While watching my DVD of John Mayer's concert as encouragement for my songwriting, a thought crossed my mind. If i do become famous, then it might be hard to find a girlfriend/wife cause there would be so many girls in the crowd that it would be hard to find one that likes me on the inside etc instead of just cause i would be famous and singing n playing guitar on stage. Ha ha ha, way to find the negative side michael!!!!!! I do still think however that the crowd factor and fans would be cool to have!!!! Having heaps of girls screaming and cheering!!!
